Entabeni Game Reserve lies in the Eastern Waterberg and is less than a three hour drive from Johannesburg airport. Guests here can see Africa’s Big 5 and a host of other animals in the backdrop of cliff faces, mountain peaks, waterfalls and ravines. A two thousand-foot sheer escarpment divides the reserve into two distinct ecosystems. Both these plateaus can be experienced on game drives, bush walks, and horse safaris. But perhaps the best way to take in the dramatic mountain terrain is by helicopter, and scintillating flights are available to guests, care of Entabeni’s resident pilot. A visit to the Pedi Cultural Village just at the edge of the reserve can be arranged for those interested in the history of the area and in the fascinating customs of the Pedi people.
